The European Union provides methodology training to Kyrgyz judges 4 October 2017

On 5-6 October 2017, Bishkek will host regional judicial training seminars jointly organised by the EU-Central Asia Rule of Law Platform and GIZ, with support from the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic.

Three training seminars will be organised with support from the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Higher School of Justice under the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic, for a group of 60 Kyrgyz judges.

The European Union provides methodology training to Tajik judges 22 September 2017

Dushanbe, 22 September 2017On 25-27 September 2017, Dushanbe will host regional judicial training seminars organised by the EU-Central Asia Rule of Law Platform, with support from the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Two training seminars will be organised by the EU-Central Asia Rule of Law Platform, with support from the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tajikistan, for a group of 25 Tajik judges.

The European Union provides methodology training to Kazakh and Uzbek judges in Shymkent 21 September 2017

SHYMKENT – On 21-22 September 2017, Shymkent will host regional judicial training seminars jointly organised by the EU-Central Asia Rule of Law Platform and GIZ, with support from the Supreme Courts of Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan.

Two training seminars will be organised with support from the Supreme Court of Kazakhstan and the Supreme Court of Uzbekistan, for a group of 30 Kazakh and Uzbek judicial trainers and judges.

The European Union backs the Kyrgyz Bar’s strategy to protect lawyers’ rights and increase ethical standards 29 June 2017

On 30 June 2017, Osh will host a round table «On the protection of lawyers’ rights and ethical standards of the legal profession», organised by the EU-Central Asia Rule of Law Platform, in cooperation with the Kyrgyz and the Paris Bars.

The objective of the round-table is to provide exposure to best European practices in the area of protection of the rights of lawyers and ethical standards and to propose related recommendations aimed both at lawyers themselves and at decision makers, and the public in general. The round-table would therefore contribute to reinforcing the independence of lawyers and to strengthening the rule of law in the Kyrgyz Republic. Experts from France, Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic will engage in a dialogue and will exchange information on the laws and practices of their countries, with emphasis of relevant case law of the European Court of Human Rights.
